Frequently Asked Questions

Is my email text selectable or can it be copied?

Text that you add in a Mail Designer text area remains real email text. In many email clients, recipients can select and copy it, as long as the email client itself supports selecting text.

This is especially important for content such as access codes, passwords, voucher codes, customer numbers, dates, or technical instructions.

Text that is part of an image area or graphic behaves like an image in the final email client. It usually cannot be selected or copied.

If an important value appears in the artwork for design reasons, you can repeat it as real text, for example below the image or in a separate instruction area. This makes the information easier to copy and also keeps it understandable if images load slowly or are blocked.

Tip: If you want to send variable content to different recipients, you can also use custom placeholders. These placeholders can be filled with an individual code, password, or voucher value for each recipient. Learn more in the Mail Designer manual under Insert placeholders for sending with Mail Designer.
